The Story Behind the Book “Against All Odds: 4th…: https://youtu.be/0BDRw-Xrvwk
There’s no way you can listen to this story and not feel inspired. Please take the time out of your day to see why I am incredibly lucky to have such an amazing, hardworking, and ambitious father. He gave me one of the greatest gifts and that’s my passion for writing. He epitomizes the idea that it doesn’t matter where you come from in life. As long as you never give up, the world is your oyster!
Here’s a little nugget for all my fellow writers out there. I one thousand percent agree! If you’re not willing to bear your soul, then put down the pencil. The best stories resonate with you because of the vulnerability and truth conveyed by the author. Writing is one of the most difficult things to do, but once you share your story it’s the most freeing and gratifying thing I’ve ever experienced. So my hat goes off to all the writers brave enough to expose themselves and bear their souls. Thank you for inspiring and motivating me to grow as a writer.
I have always admired his work and I couldn’t agree more with his perspective on writing. I do it because it makes me feel alive, it fills my heart with joy, and I love connecting with others on a deeper level. Having a positive impact on someone’s day is just icing on the cake. Thanks again to all my wonderful followers (both old and new). I appreciate each and every one of you taking the time out of your day to read/share/like/comment on my posts. It means the world to me and I love interacting with y’all. Happy hump day 🙂
Grammar aside, this is hands down one of my favorite quotes of all time! Being a writer takes serious guts because you literally reveal your soul for the world to consume. Every time I write a post I have a little anxiety because you never know how people will react. Luckily, I speak from my heart and have developed a thick skin, so ultimately the ability to share my experiences trumps any negative feedback. I have the utmost respect for anyone that is brave enough to be their unadulterated self in a society that would rather you conform and not make waves.
No quote has ever summed up why I love writing quite like this one. It’s always nice to see things that you wrote years ago because all the emotions and energy come back to your recollection like it was yesterday. You also get the chance to see how much you’ve grown and how you’ve evolved as an individual. Hope everyone has a lovely weekend 🙂 Happy Friday!
Hope everyone has an awesome weekend. I plan on doing some serious writing. I have several posts in the works, but I’m most excited about my trip down memory lane. Since I’m approaching the big 30th birthday in May, I find it befitting to write about the milestones of my twenties. It’s been quite the roller coaster, but my experiences made me stronger and helped me realize the type of woman I envisioned myself becoming. The series of blogs will be titled My Journey from I Know Everything to Enlighten Me. Each post will center around a certain topic such friendship, money, love, family, etc. I hope you’ll enjoy it and maybe learn a thing or two.
