Travis McDermott: Infinity Chiropractic

With so many negative things going on in the world, it’s important to remember all the good things that sometimes get overlooked. Contrary to popular belief there are lots of wonderful people left in the world like my good friend Travis. I recently had the pleasure of filming a testimonial for his new clinic, Infinity Chiropractic, in Missoula, Montana.

I met Travis McDermott two years ago when I accompanied my mom on her chiropractic appointment. I was having problems with my back and he suggested that I try chiropractic adjustments. I’ll admit I was extremely skeptical because everything about getting adjusted petrified me from the popping sounds to the neck turning. However, I had reached my breaking point since medicine, Icy Hot, and just plain ice weren’t cutting it anymore.

Initially my heart was racing, I cried (a lot) and I could barely breathe every time I came in for an adjustment. The average person would have dropped me like a hot tamale and told me to seek treatment elsewhere and cut their losses. Being the kindhearted and determined individual that Travis is, he accepted the challenge of helping overcome my fears and allow him to help me by figuring out to ease my anxiety. Music was the key to getting my mind off of the “impending doom” of getting adjusted. It allowed me to relax, find my happy place and let him do his job. Once I was able to calm my body down enough for the adjustments to become effective I began seeing a tremendous decrease in my low back. When I started there were days that I could barely sit up without feeling agonizing pain. Now I can go as I please and I feel like I got my life back.

I am a firm believer in paying it forward and there is no one more deserving of praise and recognition than Travis. I encourage you to support my friend because he is a genuine, humble, God-fearing and thoughtful family man that could use some help. He recently opened his own clinic and I couldn’t be more proud of him. He’s given so much to so many that it’s time for someone to do something for him! If you’ve ever started your own company you know how important it is for small businesses to find clients and gain brand recognition. I would be so appreciative if you could help me spread the word about his clinic and help his social media grow.

Thanks in advance for your help! Have a great week everyone:)

rejection

I’ve had to deal with a lot of rejection over the years and I have to admit it took me a long time to see them in a positive light. Everybody says when one door closes another one opens. I’ve experienced it first hand and it’s reigned true every time.  All the “no’s” I heard only made me that much stronger in my conviction and gave me the opportunity to build up my resilience in the face of adversity. If you’re feeling down or starting to doubt yourself because no one’s giving you a chance, I encourage you to continue to push forward because the right door will open and it will be better than anything you could have ever imagined! Stay strong and hold on because you have to fight for anything worth having in life. Have a blessed week and never stop believing in yourself or your abilities 🙂

mistake

Sometimes the hardest part about making mistakes is forgiving yourself. I have a perfectionist nature and it absolutely kills me to my core when I do something wrong. Instead of obsessing over my mishaps, I try to look at them as lessons that will make me a better and more understanding human being. I love the metaphor in this quote because I have noticed that my vision of the world becomes sharper after each trial or setback I overcome. If you’re struggling with some mistakes you’ve made in the past, don’t let them define you. No one on this earth is perfect. Mistakes have no control or power over you if you don’t repeat them. Live, learn and grow!

Thankful

After I read this quote on Pinterest, it took a minute for me to process everything that it has to offer. Each bullet is so powerful and can stand on its own. No matter how complicated we tend to make life the bottom line is simple, your PERSPECTIVE makes or breaks you. You decide to make each moment of your life a positive or negative one. If you feel down on your luck or choose to lose all hope then there is no possibility for things to change for the better. The choice is yours. I choose to conquer negativity by letting it motivate me, not consume me.

How do you deal with negativity and what are you thankful for?

To-Do List

Now this is my kind of to-do list! I wanted to start my week off with some uplifting affirmations and goals. These are really great ways to develop a peaceful and positive mindset. I hope you all have a wonderful and prosperous week 🙂

positivity

Whatever you put your mind to will always find a way to manifest itself in your life. Bad things happen in life, but it’s important not to dwell on them. You catch more flies with honey. Negative energy is just as contagious as positivity. Make the decision to spread happiness and I promise your world will start to change! Have a wonderful weekend 🙂

preparation

Sometimes seeing the glass as half full instead empty is easier said than done. When you’re feeling at your weakest, try to redirect your negative thoughts of doubt and hopelessness into positive ones. After all if you are still breathing then whatever has brought you down in the past didn’t break you. We must never underestimate our resiliency as human beings. You are much stronger than you give yourself credit. If you’re feeling depressed or jaded with life, give yourself permission to express those feelings.  Ignoring those feelings can be detrimental as well because they’ll just keep building and building up until you implode. However, do not let them consume or derail you from picking yourself back up when the time is right. I have learned from personal experience that both pain and pleasure demand to be felt. Unfortunately, you need to experience both to fully appreciate the other. Everyone have an amazing week 😉

know your worth

This quote raises an important distinction between confidence and value. I think valuing yourself is the key to exuding true confidence. Many people who walk around like they own the world are the most insecure. When you truly value yourself, you won’t need the approval of others to legitimize your existence. Always remember you are perfect just the way you are and being original makes you beautiful. Have a wonderful weekend! #TGIF #KnowYourWorth

honesty

There is no greater feeling than serenity. Once I started living life on my terms instead of everyone elses, I felt like a weight had been lifted off my shoulders. I wasted entirely too much energy trying to please people. Once you own your truth you have nothing to be afraid of anymore because all your cards are on the table. The anxiety that comes with keeping secrets or hiding your true self can become overwhelming and all-consuming. I highly recommend following your heart and doing whatever your passionate about often. That being said, I implore you to break free from the chains that bind you and live the life you choose to the fullest. YOLO!
